Beacon's End

The Crescent Shores

The jewel of the Crescent Shores—or so the locals claim. Beacon’s End is a small coastal town of perhaps two thousand souls, built around a natural harbor protected by jutting rock formations. The town is dominated by the Great Lighthouse, a structure so ancient that no one remembers who built it or when.

The architecture is a mix of practical stone buildings and more ornate structures left over from when Beacon’s End was a trade hub. Now it’s quiet, peaceful, and slowly being strangled by something that the locals don’t quite have a name for yet. The darkness. The wrongness. The corruption.

The town has three main districts:

  • The Harbor, where merchants and sailors congregate
  • The Market, where the Broken Compass inn and most shops are located
  • The Lighthouse Quarter, where the Great Lighthouse stands and Aldus maintains his eternal vigil

Since the party’s arrival, the town has felt more alive—there’s hope in the streets again, hope that someone might understand what’s happening.
