The Shattered Archway

A place of terrible power, just north of Crescent Point. This archway marks the location where reality itself seems thinner—where the barrier between the material world and something older, darker, and infinitely patient is starting to crack.

During the party’s investigation of Crescent Point, they discovered that the Stone Archway wasn’t the only seal placed by the ancient civilization. This Shattered Archway is another—perhaps the original. Its structure is even more alien than the Stone Archway, covered in symbols that seem to writhe when not directly observed.

When the party destroyed the protective mechanisms at Crescent Point, the effect rippled here. The Shattered Archway began to crack visibly. Something inside is pushing outward. The black crystals here grow with particular vigor, as if fed by whatever lies beyond the barrier.

The locals don’t speak of this place. Fishermen avoid these waters. Even Aldus seems reluctant to discuss it in detail.
