Royal Capital Thornhaven

The grand capital of the kingdom, where the Iron Council convenes in their towering palace. Thornhaven is a city of marble and iron, of grand plazas and a population that numbers in the hundreds of thousands. The Royal Library holds some of the realm’s greatest knowledge, and the throne room is where the king himself holds court.

But beneath the grandeur, something is rotting. Count Malvyn moves through court with sinister grace, and rumors of cults spread among the lower classes. Warden Kale struggles to keep the city’s guard corps intact as soldiers desert or fall to mysterious sickness. Lady Lysande works in the shadows, her true allegiances a mystery even to those closest to her.

The palace itself has become a pressure cooker of politics, with everyone vying for power as the curse spreads. If the capital falls, the kingdom falls with it.
