Crescent Point

The Crescent Shores

A sprawling ruin overlooking the sea, Crescent Point is all that remains of a civilization that predates even the oldest histories recorded in Beacon’s End. The ruins are extensive—foundations of buildings, collapsed archways, and strange carved stones that seem to drink in light.

The main feature is the Stone Archway, a massive structure that stands at the heart of the ruins. It’s covered in symbols that hurt to look at directly, as if they exist partially outside of normal space. This archway was the binding place of an ancient covenant—a pact made by the long-dead civilization to contain something in the deeps.

The party destroyed the archway’s protective mechanisms during their second session, which has had… consequences. The seal is weakening. Whatever was locked away is beginning to wake.

The ruins are also a place of strange magic. Compasses spin wildly here. Some people report time feeling subjective. And now, the black crystals that are spreading across the land seem to originate from cracks near the archway.
